Requirements for admission to an examination

 

  • Only attendees of the Gasshuku are eligible to take examinations at this event. Online registration for the Gasshuku is required no later than 15 October 2026 at www.gasshuku.at. Examination registrations submitted after this date cannot be accepted.
     
  • Manuals to assist with preparation for the Qualification Examinations can be downloaded from: https://www.jka.or.jp/en/download-jka-manual/
     
  • Only the Gasshuku participation fee must be paid in advance.
     
  • Dan Grading and Qualification Examination fees must be paid in cash (EUR) at the seminar on Friday, 30 October 2026. If you do not pass the examination, the examination fee will be refunded during the seminar, less a small administrative fee.
     
  • Your current Dan grade or Qualification, including the registration date and the date on which it was passed, must be entered on the application form before submission (see attached participation form).
     
  • Permission from your Chief Instructor must be obtained before submitting your application form.
     
  • A valid JKA membership card is required to be admitted to the examination.
